How Pythagorean numerology works.

Pythagorean numerology was developed by the Greek mathematician Pythagoras (c. 570–495 BCE) who believed that the universe is fundamentally mathematical and that numbers carry spiritual significance. His system assigns the numbers 1 through 9 to the letters of the alphabet in sequential order.

Unlike the Chaldean system, Pythagorean numerology typically uses your full legal birth name — including middle names — since it focuses on the destiny encoded at birth. The system recognises master numbers 11, 22, and 33, which are not reduced to a single digit.

Pythagorean numerology remains the most widely taught system in the Western world and forms the basis of most mainstream numerology books and courses. It is particularly popular for life path number calculations based on your date of birth.
